How to Start a Fundraiser
1. Choose a Fundraiser
First you have to decide what sort of fundraiser you would like to host. This could be a sporting tournament like kickball or pickle ball; a fun night to remember such as a game or movie night; a sales fundraiser such as a bake sale, a garage sale, or selling t-shirts; a neighborhood 5K, or a birthday fundraiser on social media.
2. Decide how you would like to collect funds
Start an online fundraiser to easily and securely collect donations and share it with your community. You can also create a fundraiser on Facebook or collect donations directly and deliver or mail them to our office.
3. Create the fundraiser and personalize it
Name your fundraiser, set a goal, and share why you’re fundraising. The more personalized your fundraiser, the better. Your friends, family, and even strangers want to hear why you choose to support Easterseals. Whether your loved one receives our services, you’re an employee, or you're just passionate about the cause - let people know!
4. Share your fundraiser and start fundraising
One of the most important steps is raising awareness. Share your fundraiser with friends and family and share on social media.
